How do I change my email?

Changing your email is easy! You can update your email address from the web app by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account at typedesk.com/app/
  2. Open the main menu and select Preferences
  3. In the My account tab, update your email address in the Email field
  4. Click Save

After saving, you will receive a confirmation email at your new email address with a link to confirm the change.

Confirming your new email

Click the "Confirm my email" button in the email you received. The confirmation link expires after 30 minutes, so don't wait too long to confirm it!

Once confirmed, you'll need to log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.

I haven't received the confirmation email

No worries! Here are a few things to try:

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Make sure to add [email protected] to your address book
  • Try again, ensuring the new email address is correct and not already associated with another typedesk account

Can I change my email from the desktop app?

Account settings, including email changes, can only be made from the web app. The desktop app doesn't support these changes yet, but you can always access your settings at typedesk.com/app/.
