Referral FAQ
Where do I find my referral link?
Your link lives in the referral panel inside Typedesk, in both the desktop app and the web version. Open Typedesk while signed in to your account and you'll find your personal link there, along with the current reward details.
What does my friend get?
Your friend gets 30% off the first 6 months of their Typedesk subscription. They can sign up and use Typedesk for free first; the discount is saved to their account and applied at checkout.
What do I get?
When your friend becomes a customer, we share 30% of their subscription revenue with you, up to $50 per referral. A referral counts as successful once your friend has purchased a Typedesk subscription. All offers are in USD.
How do I claim my reward?
Rewards are issued 30 days after your friend's purchase. When your first reward is ready, open the Rewards tab in the referral panel, click Add payment details, pick your country and choose PayPal or Venmo. You'll receive your first reward once we've processed your details, and every reward after that is transferred to you automatically. The Rewards tab shows who signed up through your link and what's ready to claim.
Are there any rules for sharing my link?
Share your link with friends and your network, but don't promote it with paid advertising (such as search ads, PPC or social media ads) without our written approval. Please don't post it on deal-sharing websites, public coupon platforms or similar communities in a way that suggests Typedesk is running a general sale or public promotion. Referrals are run by our partner Cello, and by using the program you agree to Cello's terms and data privacy policy, linked in the referral panel.
Should I refer friends or become an affiliate?
Refer friends if you're recommending Typedesk to people you know. If you want to promote Typedesk to an audience, like readers, followers, students or clients, apply to the affiliate program instead.

Affiliate FAQ
Who can join?
Anyone over 18 who can recommend Typedesk to a relevant audience: bloggers, YouTubers, newsletter writers, trainers, consultants and agencies. We review every application and reply within a few days.
How much can I earn?
You earn 30% of the net subscription revenue Typedesk receives from each customer you refer, for as long as their subscription stays active, up to 12 months from their first subscription. Taxes, refunds and chargebacks are excluded.
When and how do I get paid?
Commission becomes due 30 days after the customer's first payment, if it hasn't been refunded or canceled. Once approved, it goes into the next monthly payout, usually via PayPal. Balances under $25 roll over to the following month.
Can I use paid ads?
You can't use your affiliate link in paid ads or bid on "Typedesk" and similar keywords without our written approval. Promoting Typedesk on your website, social channels and mailing list is welcome, with a clear affiliate disclosure.
Can I earn commission on my own subscription?
No. Self-referrals and purchases by related parties aren't eligible. If you just want to recommend Typedesk to a few people you know, use your personal referral link instead.
