How does the pilot work?
The pilot is for support teams of 10 or more agents. You start on the annual plan ($20 per seat per month, billed yearly upfront), we set it up with you on a short call, and your agents use it on real tickets. If it isn't right for your team within the first 30 days, email us and we refund the full payment. After that, your annual plan simply continues at the same price. Typedesk + AI is in preview, so features and timing may change.
Does AI use the templates we already have?
Yes. Drafts start from the responses your team already keeps in Typedesk and are personalized to each customer message, in the language your team replies in.
Does customer data leave our computers?
Not for drafting. The AI model runs on the agent's own computer, so customer messages aren't sent to an AI provider to write a reply. What Typedesk learns from edits is stored encrypted on the device, and stays encrypted if you sync it between your computers.
Who controls what Typedesk learns?
Agents review every draft before it's sent, and Typedesk learns from the edits they make. How team leads review and steer what it learns is something we're shaping with pilot teams, so tell us what you'd want.
Does it work in Zendesk, Gorgias, Outlook and other apps?
Yes. The shortcut works in any app on the computer, including helpdesks and email open in Chrome, Edge or Safari, plus desktop apps like Outlook and Slack. It runs on a Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) or a 64-bit Windows PC with at least 8 GB of memory.
Do we need an OpenAI account or API key?
No. There's no API key to set up and no AI usage bill from another vendor.
How much does it cost, and what's included?
