Can I insert the recipient's name / email?

typedesk is what we call "service-agnostic" meaning it works with any app or website. We don't connect directly to your provider (Zendesk, Gmail etc) and we have no information about the ticket you're currently seeing or the customer's information.

If you need to insert your customer's information (or any other variable information), you can either:

  • Use a Text Dynamic Placeholder, that you fill in when using the canned response.
  • Use a Clipboard variable, and make sure you copy the customer's name to the clipboard before selecting the canned response.
